young, a music teacher at Cabin Hill Prep.School in Belfast, a tutor in music at Queen's University Belfast, a pianist, journalist and music critic, and a Director at the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for twenty years ....

....has....

had compositions commissioned and performed by artists such as Jan Pascal Tortelier, Jerzi Maksimiuk, Sir James Galway, Barry Douglas, Dame Ann Murray, Sarah Walker, contributed biographical chapters to a book on Sir Hamilton Harty (pub.Blackstaff 1979), a keen interest in smart cars....

....is....

old(-er), retired, a Doctor of Music, an arts correspondent for radio, internet sites and newspapers, a convert to the delights of furniture painting....and, of course, still a composer.....
